Kick start your career as a Trainee Legal Cashier at Tlam!
We’re seeking a Trainee Legal Cashier to join our dynamic team as a Trainee in our Head Office in Tewkesbury.
This role would be well-suited to someone looking at getting into an accounting or law career, as you would be trained to do legal bookkeeping and accounts. As a Trainee Legal Cashier you will be supporting the management of accounting and financial functions of multiple law firms.
In this position you will be developing a specialised and valued skillset, in a fast paced and supportive environment, combined with ample opportunity for rapid advancement based on performance and ambition.

We are a expanding professional services firm – providing outsourced legal cashiering, management accounts, and finance director services to law firms throughout the UK.
About you
You will be a an enthusiastic individual who has a desire to pursue a career in finance. You will be numerically and IT literate, with excellent attention to detail, and be able to multi-task across several departments and teams.
This role would suit someone who has just left education or is a recent graduate or even someone looking to pivot with 1-3 years experience in a similar role (law, accounting, finance, bookkeeping) at a company committed to learning and development. Full training will be provided – willingness to learn is more important than experience for this position.
What you’ll be doing
Your responsibilities will include:
- Working on all aspects of recording and reconciling client account transactions.
- Posting bills and transfers
- Checking completion statements
- Making payments.
- Posting land registration fees
- General housekeeping
- Tackling ad hoc duties as they arise.
Your day to day responsibilities will quickly develop. All applicants welcome, however an interest in legal or finance and some experience in those sectors (whether through work or study) would be beneficial.
