Hours: Full-time, including evenings and weekends during peak periods
About City Room Rentals
City Room Rentals operates large student accommodation portfolios as commercial hotels during the summer period. We work with universities and PBSA operators across the UK and Ireland, managing high-volume bookings and guest operations at scale.
Our team is based at Scion House, Stirling University Innovation Park, a modern professional office environment shared with other growth businesses linked to the University of Stirling.
This is a fast-paced commercial environment where accuracy, responsiveness and common sense matter.
The Role
This is a hands-on summer role supporting our reservations, sales and customer support operations during peak trading periods.
You will handle enquiries, process bookings and payments, and support guest communications across multiple systems. You will be trained, but you will be expected to pick things up quickly and work independently.
This role is particularly well suited to students available over the summer period, graduates seeking commercial experience, or candidates looking for a demanding temporary role with real responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Handling inbound and outbound calls, emails and online enquiries
- Converting enquiries into confirmed bookings
- Processing reservations and payments accurately
- Managing shared inboxes and responding to queries promptly
- Supporting guest arrivals and operational issues
- Updating booking systems, spreadsheets and records accurately
- Liaising with internal teams and external suppliers when required
- Handling issues and complaints calmly and professionally
- Supporting ad-hoc operational tasks during peak periods
What We’re Looking For
- Confident communication skills (phone and email)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Organised, reliable and able to prioritise workload
- Comfortable working in a busy, high-volume environment
- Able to remain calm under pressure
- Available full-time across July and August
- Basic IT skills (Word, Excel, email systems)
Previous customer service, hospitality or sales experience is helpful but not essential.
A second European language is a bonus but not required.
