Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursery Nurse to join our early childhood education team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children. This role requires strong management and leadership skills, along with experience working with children and a passion for early childhood development. The Nursery Nurse will play a vital role in supporting children’s learning and development while ensuring their well-being is prioritised at all times.

Duties

  • Supervise and care for children in the nursery setting, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development
  • Maintain accurate records of children’s progress and daily routines
  • Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication
  • Manage daily nursery operations, including organising activities and ensuring the environment remains clean and welcoming
  • Lead by example in promoting good behaviour and social skills among children
  • Collaborate with management to develop programmes that support early childhood education standards
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as updating records and preparing reports as required
  • Drive nursery vehicles when necessary to facilitate outings or transportation needs

Skills

  • Proven experience with children in a childcare or nursery environment
  • Strong management and leadership capabilities to oversee daily nursery activities effectively
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
  • Knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices
  • Ability to organise activities that stimulate learning and development
  • Childcare qualifications or nursery experience recognised within the sector
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
  • Driving licence preferred to facilitate transport requirements
  • Compassionate nature with a genuine interest in supporting children’s growth and well-being

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £24,420.00-£36,524.79 per year

Work Location: Remote
