Introduction:
We are recruiting a dedicated and compassionate Care Manager to support the day-to-day running of a residential mental health care service providing high-quality support to adults with mental health needs, dementia, and complex conditions. This is a 6-month contract on a full-time basis with developmental management opportunity within a stable and supportive care environment.
This role is ideal for an experienced Senior Support Worker, Team Leader, Deputy Manager, or Care Supervisor who is ready to take the next step into management and further develop their leadership career within residential care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Home Manager with the daily management and operational running of the service
- Assist with staff rotas, staffing levels, and effective shift planning
- Supervise, mentor, and support Senior Support Workers and Care Staff
- Promote high standards of person-centred care and meaningful daily activities
- Support audits, quality assurance processes, and service improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with CQC regulations, medication management, infection control, and confidentiality standards
- Maintain accurate care records and ensure documentation meets regulatory requirements
Requirements:
- Experience in a senior or supervisory role within residential care
- Background supporting individuals with mental health needs, dementia, or complex care requirements
- Strong communication, leadership, and people management skills
- Good working knowledge of CQC standards and regulatory compliance
- Willingness to work towards, or already hold, a Level 5 qualification in Health & Social Care
- RMN qualification or relevant mental health/dementia training is desirable but not essential
Pay & Benefits:
- Salary of £31,000 per year
