Overview
As we start to approach our busy season, we our on the look out for the right candidates to join our team. We’re looking for a friendly and reliable Counter Staff member to be the first point of contact for our customers. The role involves handling hire bookings, advising customers on tools and equipment, processing payments, and coordinating with the yard team to ensure smooth daily operations. Good customer service skills, basic admin ability are essential, knowledge in the plant hire industry would be desirable but full training will be provided to right candidate. Must able to work Saturdays 8am-1pm One hours lunch break, Week and half off at Christmas Plus all the standard working benefits, holidays, pension etc If you think this is you, forward us on a CV or call in and have chat
Duties
- Serve customers at the counter, taking orders accurately and efficiently
- Upsell additional products to maximise sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the counter area
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing enquiries and resolving issues promptly
- Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth operations
- Check machines going out and coming back from hire
Experience
- Previous experience is preferred but not essential
- Experience in serving customers, handling cash, or upselling products is advantageous
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
- Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively and work efficiently under pressure
- Ability to work well as part of a team and communicate clearly with colleagues and customers
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £26,320.00-£30,000.00 per year
