Data Specialist Remote Job (Proximo)

Full job description

We are seeking a self-motivated data technician with at least three years of experience. This is a permanent full-time position that is 100% telecommuting.

Proximo provides data analytics & business intelligence, data warehousing & integration, and data strategy & governance for over 25 years. We are currently expanding our world-wide remote team.

Who you are:

You love to work with data. You enjoy and have experience cleaning it, merging it, and extracting it. You have good Excel experience and have some experience with SQL. You like to learn and have a keen eye for detail. You believe that a data problem is “something to be solved” and you can use your creativity, inquisitiveness, and critical thinking to do that.

Requirements

· Good experience in Excel

· Experience with SQLServer

· Experience in SQL

· Experience in reading and understanding functional documentation

· Experience with writing technical documentation

· Experience with SSIS or ADF (Azure Data Factory)

· Proficient in Agile development methodology

· Experience with PowerBI a plus

· Knowledge with Azure a plus

· Knowledge of Wrike a plus

· Must be detail oriented

· Must be a self-starter who can work independently

· Understanding of data privacy and ethical considerations in data handling

Your responsibilities will include:

· Cleaning up, de-duplicating and merging data

· Monitoring data quality

· Analyze and understand data

· Loading data into SQLServer

· Identify issues with data or failure of load

· Data manipulation

· Data insights/export/reporting/analysis on data

· Reading data models

· SQL Programming

· Develop unit test cases for modules and screens you create

· Supporting other team members during systems and integration testing

· Estimate the labor it will take you to complete work, such coding a module or function

· Attending and contributing to team meetings

· Creating documentation (in code and in MS Word) describing how a program you wrote flows

Pay: $45,000.00 – $55,000.00 per year
