- Days: 4-on, 2-off schedule (0700h–1500h)
- Evenings: 4-on, 2-off schedule (1500h–2300h)
- Casual Positions:Â We are also hiring LPNs for our casual pool.
Are you an RN Student? Students enrolled in an RN program who have completed their 2nd year and hold a Student Nurse Certification from BCCNM are encouraged to apply!
Your Role as an LPN:
As a key member of our care team, you will be responsible for the overall well-being of our residents. Your day-to-day work will include:
- Performing resident assessments, developing care plans, and providing hands-on nursing care.
- Leading and supervising our care staff, acting as a mentor and resource.
- Administering medications safely and participating in medication reviews.
- Communicating with residents, families, and physicians to manage and prevent conflicts or concerns.
- Completing documentation, incident reports, and monitoring Rai 2.0 assessments.
- Assisting with the resident admission process to ensure a smooth transition.
- Championing resident safety and ensuring all OH&S policies are followed.
What You Need to Succeed (Must-Haves):
- Certification:Â You must be a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) registered and in good standing with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Student Nurses:Â RN Students with BCCNM Student Nurse Certification (after Year 2) are welcome.
- Clearance:Â A satisfactory and current Criminal Records Check.
- Skills:Â Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You must be resourceful, organized, and able to work with a minimum of supervision.
Our Ideal Candidate (Nice-to-Haves):
- Previous experience in long-term care or geriatrics.
- First Aid and CPR certifications.
- Experience with MDS, Point Click Care, or Gold Care.
Physical Requirements:
- This role involves frequent standing, walking, and lifting.
- You must be able to lift and/or transfer residents and handle stressful situations in a fast-paced environment.
