Job Overview
We are hiring a Medical Office Assistant to work within the Atlantic time zone to support a virtual hormone health practice that works with both male and female patients across Canada.
In this role, you’ll support the day-to-day operations of the clinic and work closely with the physician, nurse practitioner, registered nurse, and operations team. You’ll often be the first point of contact for patients and play a key role in keeping things organized, responsive, and running smoothly in a fully remote environment.
Hours of work: Monday – Friday 9:00 am-3:00 pm AST

Responsibilities
You’ll work closely with the Physician, Registered Nurse, Nurse Practitioner, and operations team. Day to day, this role includes:
- Being the first point of contact for patients by phone, email, and text
- Coordinating patient intake appointments with the Physician, RN and NP
- Scheduling and confirming follow-up appointments
- Sending financial consent forms and processing patient payments through Stripe
- Supporting patients as they move through the intake and follow-up process
- Keeping patient records up to date in the EMR
- Helping with general administrative and operational tasks as needed
Who you are
You’re organized, reliable, and genuinely enjoy working with people. You’re comfortable handling multiple tasks at once, communicating across different channels, and supporting both patients and clinicians in a fast-paced virtual environment.
Requirements:
- 2 to 5 years of experience as a medical receptionist or medical office assistant
- Experience working remotely in a healthcare or clinical setting
- Comfortable using EMRs, with Med Access experience strongly preferred
- Communicate clearly and professionally by phone, email, and text
- Confident handling sensitive patient information with discretion and care
- Adapt quickly, manage competing priorities, and stay calm under pressure
- Take pride in creating a positive, welcoming experience for patients

Pay: $25.00 per hour
