We are a small, rural dispensing Practice, located in the beautiful South Hams.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for two Medical Receptionists to join Chillington Health Centre on a permanent basis. We have 36 hours per week available, with working hours scheduled between 8.30am and 6.30pm.

The position will be well suited to individuals who have previous experience in general practice; however, this is not essential. The individuals should be enthusiastic about providing high-quality patient service with strong communication and administrative skills. Flexibility is essential as you would be required to cover colleague’s annual leave and sickness to ensure the smooth running of our service.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist patients upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming environment.
  • Manage appointment scheduling and maintain accurate patient records.
  • Handle phone inquiries and provide information regarding services and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth office operations and effective patient service.
  • Maintain confidentiality in all interactions.

Qualifications

  • Administrative experience in a medical or office setting
  • Strong patient service skills with a focus on communication
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From £12.21 per hour
