Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and practices, with proficiency in various accounting software. This role is essential for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and providing timely financial reports to support our organizational goals.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, and Excel.
• Perform general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliation, and balance sheet reconciliation.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections.
• Conduct bank reconciliations and payroll processing to maintain accurate financial data.
• Prepare financial reports and statements that reflect the organization’s financial status.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities to support strategic planning.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations in corporate accounting, non-profit accounting, governmental accounting, and public accounting.
• Analyze accounts for discrepancies and provide solutions for any issues identified.
• Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial information for reporting purposes.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles including double entry bookkeeping and GAAP.
• Proficiency in using accounting software such as QuickBooks and Excel
• Familiarity with financial concepts including account analysis, budgeting, debits & credits, and technical accounting.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate record keeping.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data effectively.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
• Proficient in 10 key typing for efficient data entry tasks.
