Full job description
Grow Up Tutoring is looking for a reliable, confident KS3 and GCSE tutor for English to deliver high-quality online lessons to UK students.
This is a remote, flexible role with no minimum hours. Ideal if you want tutoring to fit around other work.
Key details
- Location: Remote (online)
- Hours: Flexible, same weekly slots
- Start: As soon as possible (subject to checks)
- Right to work: Must live in the UK and have the right to work in the UK
What you’ll do
- Tutor KS3 and KS4 English (Latin or other subjects is a big advantage)
- Plan and deliver engaging 1:1 online lessons
- Teach in line with the GCSE curriculum. AQA and Edexcel experience is necessary.
- Create lesson plans and bring your own resources (worksheets, slides, practice questions, etc.)
- Adapt lessons to student needs, including SEN where appropriate
- Provide clear feedback and help students build confidence and progress

- Tutors (ideally with classroom teaching experience)
- University students – studying for QTS or PGCE
Requirements (non-negotiable)
- Enhanced DBS (must already have it, and produce at interview stage )
- Fluent English
- UK-based, with right to work in the UK
- Confident teaching and explaining concepts clearly online
- Able to plan independently and source/create your own teaching materials
Nice to have
- Ability to support in other GCSE topics mostly languages e.g Latin, Spanish, German, French, Mandarin.
- Equipment needed
This is fully online, you must have:
- A reliable laptop/desktop
- Stable internet connection
- Webcam and microphone
- A quiet place to teach
