Full job description

· Experience of working with older people with Dementia.

· Knowledge and experience of medication administration

· Confident in care planning processes and experience of daily notes.

· Confident in leading a shift, or let us teach and help you build that confidence.

· Good supervisory skills

· Good communication skills both written ,verbal and electronically.

· Ability to plan, allocate and delegate work appropriately.

· Ability to inspire professionalism.

An Enhanced DBS is required for this position

Schedule:

  • 12 hour shift
  • Night Shift
  • Weekend availability

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead a team of carers during the shift, ensuring high-quality care for residents.
  • Administer medication as prescribed, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Maintain effective communication with team members and families to provide updates on resident well-being.
  • Deal with any health care emergencies by calling the appropriate healthcare professionals.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: £13.60 per hour

Expected hours: 22 – 33 per week

Experience:

  • providing care at senior level: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 Health & Social Care (preferred)
  • DBS on the update service (preferred)
  • Social Care Wales Registration (preferred)

  • United Kingdom (preferred)

Work Location: In person
